A 26-year old Fort Riley soldier has been identified as the victim of an improvised explosive device in Iraq.

Fort Riley says Spc. Joshua H. Reeves, 26, died of wounds suffered when the IED detonated near his vehicle Saturday in Baghdad.

Reeves was an infantryman assigned to 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry
Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. He was from Watkinsville, Ga.

A Post spokesperson says Reeves entered the Army in February 2005 and arrived at Fort Riley in July 2005. This was his first deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

Reeves is the 134th Fort Riley soldier killed while serving in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
