BROWN COUNTY -- There have been concerns of an internet e-mail scam circulating in Brown County. An e-mail states it is from PAYPAL and the recipient is informed that their PAYPAL account has been suspended.
In order for their account to come back in to good standing, the recipient of the e-mail must return the e-mail with personal descriptors such as date of birth, social secutiry numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, etc. THIS IS A SCAM.
Brown County authorities are asking everyone not to send out personal or financial information over the internet or telephones. If you have concerns or feel you are a victim of a scam, contact your local police department or sheriff's office.
