Topeka Home Lost in Overnight Fire
The City of Topeka Fire Department responded to a vacant one-story, single family house fire at 2120 SE Highland at 1:36 a.m. Thursday, September 20.
Truck 3, 9, and 10; Engine 2, 5, and 9; and Aerial 5 were dispatched to the scene, the last arriving at 2:47 a.m. The last apparatus cleared the scene at 8:23 a.m.
There were no reported injuries associated with this incident.
No cause, origin nor estimated dollar loss information is available at this time. However, the structure was a total loss.
According to the Shawnee County Appraiser’s Office website, the 2007 appraised value of the structure was $97,420.
