MANHATTAN — Verizon Wireless is teaming up with The Crisis Center of Manhattan, an organization dedicated to serving the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, to hold a soap drive, now through July 18th.
Local residents are encouraged to donate personal hygiene products including body wash, hand soap, shampoo, deodorant and toothpaste at the Verizon Wireless Communication store located at 515 Fort Riley Boulevard.
“We are so happy to be in a position to help such an important organization in this community,” said Brendan Fallis, president Kansas/Missouri region, Verizon Wireless. “Verizon Wireless has been and will continue to be committed to domestic violence prevention and awareness, and this is one way to help with that initiative.”
During the soap drive, residents are encouraged to participate by dropping off items at the Verizon Wireless store during regular business hours each day this week through Saturday 9:00am till 8:00pm, and Sunday from noon to 6:00pm.
