At Least Four Drown in Missouri

At least four people drown in Missouri over the holiday weekend.

Authorities have reported at least four drownings in Missouri over the labor day weekend.

The latest happened Monday night at Smithville Lake. 20-year-old Jorge
Frenandez-Garcia of Kansas City died after a failed attempt to help two girls who got into trouble while swimming.

A St. louis man drowned in Lake of the Ozarks Saturday
night. And two men drowned in separate weekend incidents at a rock quarry in Fredericktown Missouri.

The missouri water patrol reports that a 20-year-old Saint Louis man died Saturday afternoon when he slipped and fell off a 60-foot cliff into the quarry. A 27-year-old man from Illinois jumped off a bluff at the same location Sunday afternoon and didn't resurface.
