Police Make Arrest in Bomb Threat

During the bomb threat call to the Hutchinson Wal-Mart store the Hutchinson Police Department was able to trace the call.

Officers received information regarding the caller's name and phone number used in the threat, along with the bomb threats made to the Dillon’s stores located at 206 West 5th Street and 725 East 4th street.

That information led officers to a home on the east side of Hutchinson where the cell phone was registered.

Officers contacted several individuals at the home who were interviewed. As a result of the interviews a person was identified as the suspect in these bomb threats. A search warrant was executed at the home where the cell phone was recovered.

Tommy G. Palmatier, 24, has been arrested on one count of Aggravated Criminal Threat. His bond has been set at $250,000.

The bomb threats made to the Dillon’s Stores located at 517 East 30th on Tuesday and at 1319 North Main on Wednesday are still under investigation and at this time are not believed to be connected to Palmatier.
