Train Derailment is Investigated in Olivet
Officials in Osage County are investigating what caused a train to derail west of Olivet.
The Osage County Sheriffs Office says they got a call from Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad 20 cars off a train derailed about 3:30am Monday morning.
The sheriff's office says the derailment made quite a mess, but no hazardous materials were on board.
The responding agencies include Osage County Sheriffs Office, Melvern Fire and EMS, and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
