Fashion items from world-renowned designers – and the chance to personally mingle with some of those designers on a special New York Fashion Week trip – will be featured at Topeka's premier fashion event in April. Tickets are now available to the American Cancer Society’s 6th annual Couture for Cancer, a shopping, social and charity event.
Couture will be 4:00 to 7:00pm, April 17th at Topeka Performing Arts Center. To purchase tickets or to volunteer in the fight against cancer, contact the American Cancer Society at 438-5607 or e-mail Stacie.Schroeder@cancer.org. Information about Couture for Cancer can also be found on Facebook or www.topekacoutureforcancer.org.
To keep the bidding lively, and to support a great cause, Couture will offer a New York fashion experience – four days and three nights, Sept. 9-12, with airfare and hotel included. The top bidder will receive a planned itinerary for Fashion Night Out that includes a studio tour of handbag designer Katherine Kwei and the chance to meet Hayden-Harnett’s handbag, accessory, apparel and footwear designer – Toni Hacker. The winner will be able to pick out a bag with each designer while in New York. Both designers will be also be donating handbags to the event.
Couture for Cancer provides women (and a few lucky men) the opportunity to enjoy designer fashion and home décor from all over the world. The trendy fashion event raises funds for the American Cancer Society’s research, education, advocacy and patient services. Attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails all while shopping for designer clothes, jewelry, handbags, home items, cosmetic treatments, spa experiences and more.
