Lonnie Morris, 37, of Potosi, Mo., was unlucky to have it be Topeka Police Drug Enforcement Officers who pulled him over Tuesday evening.
Mr. Morris was stopped at I-70 and Wanamaker when a drug detecting K-9 alerted officers took notice of the vehicle. The dog led officers straight to 143 lb. of marijuana, which Topeka police valued between $400 and $1,000 per pound.
He was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
