Sebelius, Others Survey Floods in Helicopters

Governor Kathleen Sebelius and several state representatives got that aerial look at the floods from Blackhawk helicopters today.

It's hard to fathom how much flooding there is until you've seen it from above.

But for the people affected -- the real story is on the ground.

The Blackhawks were full of Kansas political leaders.

All of them wanting to see the devastation themselves -- and find out how they can help.

The people are the true reasons the governor and the congressional delegates were flying today.

They wanted the people to know they are not alone in this tragic time.

FEMA was on board the flights as well.

Sebelius has a call in for President Bush, and is now waiting to hear if this qualifies for federal funds.
