The Melody Brown Fun Factory of the Arts is for children five to eight years old to experience five different areas of the arts and learn from certified teachers.
Classes run from July 23- August 3 from 9-11:30 a.m. Monday-Friday.
They will be held at Washburn University's Garvey Fine Arts building.
For families with an income over $25,000 the cost for the family is $40 and for families with an income under $25,000 the cost for the family is $20.
This program brings kids form all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds together and it pairs teenage helpers with the younger children so everyone can enjoy the arts together.
The Melody Brown Fun Factory Board also offers year-round programs in dance and piano.
The Brown family i Topeka began the Fun Factory as a tribute to young Melodie, an artistic prodigy who was killed by a drunk driver at age eight.
