Topeka is Named the Country's 5th Greenest City

Topekans were rewarded today for stepping up to the challenge.

Yahoo! came to town today to deliver a load of compact florescent light bulbs.

It was to honor Topeka's 5th place showing in the "Be a Better Planet" challenge.

Residents could tally their environmental actions on Yahoo! to determine the country's greenest city.

Hastings, Nebraska won 1st place.

People could get one of the energy-efficient light bulbs during today's event at city hall.

If you couldn't get there, some might still be available at your local community center.
