Fort Riley honors the fallen
Today family and friends gathered at the post cemetery on Fort Riley for a wreath-laying ceremony. Major General Carter Ham, commanding general, 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley, spoke at the event. A 21-gun salute and bugler playing "Taps" honored all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving.
Brigadier General Dana Pittard's wife and two sons were on hand and spoke with us on how life is going with their husband and dad presently serving in Iraq.
