Bob Blecha has been named as the new head of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Attorney General Paul Morrison made the announcement Wednesday afternoon.
Morrison spent several months going through dozens of candidates before choosing Blecha. Morrison says Blecha leads by example, hires good people and will work hard.
Blecha joined the KBI in 1979 and has served many roles with the department. He pledges to focus on cyber crimes, new technology and assisting local law enforcement.
