Topeka Teen Stabbed Early Sunday Morning

Topeka Police are looking for the man who stabbed a Topeka teen early Sunday morning. Seventeen year-old Eddie Gordon was walking in the 1300 block of of SE 4th St. when, according to police, two men approached him.

A fight then broke out between the three during the course of which Mr. Gordon was stabbed by an unknown object. Family members took him to the hospital and police were notified, arriving at the hospital about 4:30 a.m.

Police describe the man who stabbed Mr. Gordon as a white man in his twenties, about 5'7", 210 lbs, with dark hair and "scruffy" facial hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The man accompanying him was also in his twenties, 5'9", 180 lbs., and was wearing a black t-shirt and a black New York Yankee's cap.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and ask anyone with information related to the stabbing to call detectives at 368-9400 or CrimeStoppers at 234-0007 where they can remain anonymous.
