Two people were hospitalized after each was stabbed, one multiple times, in Topeka late Tuesday night. Both had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.
The incident happened began shortly after 10 o'clock at the intersection of 21st and Kansas Ave. Police found one of the victims, who they identified as 42 year-old Robert Cunningham of Topeka, there stabbed multiple times. AMR rushed him to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Later, where 21st meets Madison Ave., officers say they came upon a man and a woman who were suspected in the stabbing and found the woman wounded by a knife. The man did not appear hurt.
Topeka Police officers questioned all three individuals, both individuals involved in the incident admitted involvement. The case has been forwarded to the Shawnee County District Attorney's Office for further review.
