Early Morning Accident Kills Barnes Man
A Barnes, Kansas man is dead after an accident Sunday on K-9 in Washington County.
Police are unsure when the accident that claimed 20 year-old Lawrence Michael Long's life happened. His body was found about 5:30 a.m. off the highway southeast of the town of Washington.
Police reports indicate that Long was headed east on K-9 when his car drifted to the other side of the road where he lost control, struck a private drive and rolled his Chevy.
He was found alone and reports indicate that he was not wearing a seatbelt.
