TOPEKA -- The Topeka Fire Department has agreed to partner with Community Thanksgiving Foundation, Inc. to receive food donations for this year’s annual dinner.

The role of TFD will be to utilize Topeka's fire stations as food drop-off points, as they've done in previous years.

Organizers are working to coordinate getting some type of container to hold donations received; till then, each station is being asked to dedicate a specific area within their firehouse for storage of Topekan's donations.

Community Thanksgiving Foundation Director Myron Johnson at or 785.215.2897 is the point of contact for picking up collected items; please do not hesitate to contact him if you have any questions about donations, or about volunteering.

The last scheduled day for donations to be dropped off at local fire stations is Sunday, November 22nd.
