Junction City Police I.D. Shooting Victims

The Junction City Police Dept. has identified the victims of a weekend shooting that killed one man and injured another woman.

Reports identify the man as Fort Riley soldier Joshua Wilcoxen, 22, of A. Co. 101st FSB and the woman as 19 year-old Emma Wilcoxen.

On Saturday, Junction City officers responded to calls of a shooting at 401 1/2 N. Jackson Cir. There, they found Mr. Wilcoxen with a gunshot wound to the head and Mrs. Wilcoxen shot in her left hand.

Emergency crews transported Mr. Wilcoxen to Geary Community Hospital where he later died. Mrs. Wilcoxen also was taken to Geary for treatment, before being transported to Manhattan.

According to the Junction City police, Mr. Wilcoxen died of a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Mrs. Wilcoxen's injury came as she tried tried to stop Mr. Wilcoxen from shooting himself.
