TOPEKA -- The Kansas Works Mobile Unit in in town. Here in Topeka for some computer terminal maintenance, the Unit will soon be on its way back west, with stops in Wichita, and Finney County.
The mobile jobs unit has rolled for Kansas Works since 2006, and was an enormous help in Greensburg and Chapman after those cities were cut off from Kansas by deadly tornadoes. The unit is also a godsend for people in rural areas of Kansas with no internet access, also cut off from the services Kansas Works provides.
Debra Rodenbaugh explained the mobile unit, and demonstrated its capabilities on "13 News at 4" on Monday, September 21st while the unit was here in the capital city.
