LAWRENCE - Twitter is taking over at KU as student groups turn to the popular micro-blogging site to communicate. The college newspaper reports students groups that once talked to each other through e-mails, websites, and cell phones are Tweeting now.. in huge numbers.
Ellyn Angelloti of the Poynter Institute for Media told the "Daily Kansan" that Twitter's popularity comes from how it easy it is to use. Even the KU Museums are getting in on the action. The newspaper also reports, tweets by staffers at the Spencer Museum of Art range from upcoming events, even some of the gossip heard by the security guards!
