MANHATTAN - Fort Riley officials will cut the ribbon and open the doors on Feb. 13 on a new post exchange for soldiers and families.
The exchange is located in Camp Forsyth on Fort Riley's west side. The $24 million complex is part of the more than $1 billion in new construction that is being commenced or completed on post.
Families will have access to clothing, electronics, five restaurants, pharmacy, coffee shop, barber shop and a spa with massage therapy.
Fort Riley is in the midst of expansion as part of the 2006 return of the 1st Infantry Division from Germany, which will take soldier populations to close to 19,000 by 2013. Additional services and facilities are being constructed to accommodate the influx of soldiers and their families.
