TOPEKA - KDHE on Tuesday identified eight cases which they report are linked to the nationwide outbreak of Salmonella Saintpaul bacteria infections sweeping the country. Two of the infected victims are here in Northeast Kansas, with four others in south-central Kansas, and one each in the southeast and southwest corners of the state.
The Centers for Disease Control say 277 people had been infected with Salmonella Saintpaul in 28 states.
The Food and Drug Administration has issued guidance on consuming raw tomatoes, which can be found the www.fda.gov website.
