Kansas City Moves "Day of Prayer"

May 1. The National Day of Prayer. The Kansas Statehouse will host thousands for Topeka's observance, and that likely will not be changed. But the Kansas City location has. Thousands are also expected for KC's convergence of people connecting the nation in prayer today. First set for the Liberty Memorial near Union Station, Kansas City area churches announced on websites, that the event has been moved downtown to Bartle Hall due to the forecast of storms moving into the area tonight.

Bartle's huge Exhibit Room E has been chosen as the designated site, with appearances scheduled by Rich Bott of Bott Radio Networks.. and Dr. Gary Morsch of Heart to Heart International. The National Day of Prayer invites people of all faiths to join together in praying for the nation. The event begins with a family walk at 4:00.. then the main program at 6:00, followed by the youth concert at 8:30pm in Downtown Kansas City.
