The improvement project to widen Southeast 6th between Golden and Market and realign the intersection of Southeast 10th with 6th, moves into its next phase on this May first. Tenth Street is expected to open by mid-afternoon Thursday. During the work in the next phase, 6th Street will remain open, but city engineers say traffic will be moved to the northbound lanes, one lane in each direction.

Market will be open from 10th to 6th to local traffic only. The project began last July 30th, and is set to be finished by September 30th of this year.
