The city of Topeka has issued a stream advisory for raw sewage being pumped into a local tributary.
The city's water pollution control division discovered an 18-inch force main was ruptured Tuesday morning, and issued a health advisory for the Wanamaker Tributary.
Officials say all people and pets should avoid the water in it south of the Wanamaker pump station near SW 10th and Wanamaker all the way to the Kansas River.
Officials say contractors are on site and have started the repair process.
