Salvation Army Reaches Christmas Campaign Goal!

Poor weather made it a sluggish season for Topeka's 109th Christmas Kettle Campaign. But Major Mark Martsolf says a check Wednesday morning, pushed it over the $400,000 mark.

Major Mark Martsolf, Commanding Officer of the Salvation Army, says the organization is now in a better position to help the disadvantaged people of the Topeka community.

Martsolf thanks everyone who supported this year's campaign.

The lighting of the star on the official tree atop WIBW Radio Building on Huntoon Hill, will take place on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 6:00 p.m.
