The Kansas Republican Party announced Wednesday that Mike Huckabee has become the 5th candidate in the race for President to file for the Kansas Caucus. Huckabee's campaign workers filed the paperwork and paid the filing fee here in Topeka.
Chairman Kris Kobach says "With the recent movement in the polls, the nomination is up for grabs. With Kansas being the first contest after "Super Tuesday," each candidate is realizing the importance of their participation."
Kansas' GOP Caucus will be held Saturday, February 9th. Participants have to be registered as GOP members by January 25, 2008.
