Children's Storage Rack Pulled from Shelves

The strangulation of an eight month-old child has caused an Irving, Texas company to recall 36,000 of its "Home Trend Kids 9 Canvas Bin Boy's and Girl's Organizers."

The racks were sold under the Jetmax Intl. brand between August 2004 and July 2005 by Wal-Mart and between July 2006 and June 2007 and Ollie's stores.for around $40.

The wooden storage rack has three levels and nine removable canvas totes with handles on the side. The boy's rack is a natural color wood with red, yellow, green, and navy totes, while the girl's rack has white colored wood and pink, yellow, lime, and purple totes.

The boy was killed after he pulledon the rack and it toppled onto him; the top rail landing on his neck, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. It has reported no other incident.
