Topeka Police are looking to question one man in relation to the shooting death last Saturday of Felipe Barranco of Topeka. Police said they would like to speak with 17 year-old Pedro Hernandez Galicia about the shooting.
Police responding to reports of gunfire approximately 11:15 p.m. found Barranco, 30, on the ground in the back court yard. Ambulances rushed him to the hospital with what were considered life-threatening injuries. He died the next morning while in surgery.
While the events surrounding the shooting are still under investigation, police believe an argument, not involving Barranco, during a Queinceanera party preceded the gunfire at 820 N. Kansas.
The man Topeka Police want to speak with, Pedro Hernandez Galicia, is described as a Hispanic man, 5'6", 140 lbs., with brown hair and eyes.
They ask anyone with information relating to Galicia's whereabouts or any information on the case call detectives at 368-9400 or CrimeStoppers at 234-0007.
