CLAY CENTER -- Former ``Tonight Show'' bandleader Doc Severinsen will be among several professional musicians flying into northeast Kansas to honor a former music teacher on her 99th birthday.
The celebration for Pauline Snodgrass is expected to draw 1,200 people to a concert Sunday at the Martyn-Snodgrass Auditorium in
The Salina Journal reports that others flying in for the party will be Los Angeles session musicians Gary Foster and Bill Booth, as well as several musicians from the Kansas City area.
Snodgrass is a former vocal music and piano teacher in Clay Center. Her husband, Wayne Snodgrass, was a former band director who started music clinics that attracted Severinsen and many others to Clay Center.
