TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ A man who fled in a four-door car is being sought in the shooting death of a woman outside Topeka motel.

Police said officers were called Thursday night to the Regency Inn on the city's south side, where they found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds near the motel office. The woman was taken to a Topeka hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police identified the victim as 50-year-old Pamela McMaster of Topeka.

Police said Friday they are looking for a skinny black man in his early 20s, after first saying the suspect was white. He was wearing a blue or gray hoodie and a bandanna. He fled in a newer, four-door sedan occupied by three other women.

The slaying is the city's fifth of the year.

This was totaly uncalled for. She was the kind of woman to do anything for anyone. She never did anything to hurt anyone. I hope they catch the people responsible, throw them under the jail!

LET ME GUESS, SHE WAS BLACK, AND IT WAS A DRUG DEAL GONE BAD. IT IS SAD THAT SOME ONE HAD TO DIE. AND WHEN IT COMES OUT HER FAMILY WILL SAY SHE WAS A GOOD GIRL AND WASNT IN TO DRUGS OR GANGS. MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE FAMILYS WHO HAVE LOST A LOVED ONE THIS YEAR. I KNOW ITS HARD TO KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR KIDS AND KIDS WILL DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO DO WHAT THEY WANT, I KNOW I DID BUT THAT WAS 20 YRS AGO WHEN TOPEKA WAS A MUCH SAFER PLACE. I CAN ONLY SAY THESE THINGS BECAUSE MY UNCLE WAS SHOT IN THE HEAD BY HIS "BEST FRIEND" THAT HAPPEND OVER 20 YRS AGO AND WE STILL DONT KNOW WHY. FROM WHAT WE KNOW HE WAS A GOOD GUY, GOING TO KU AND WAS TRYING TO DO SOMETHING WITH HIS LIFE.
